Father of Texas

The city of Austin is named for “The Father of Texas”, Mr. Stephen F. Austin.. he was kind enough to watch our phones for us. When you’re in Austin, pay a visit to the Texas State Cemetary where Stephen F. Austin is buried. The cemetary is beautifully kept and extremely peaceful.

One Man’s Trash, Another Man’s Castle.

Austin is a creative city, to say the least. It’s an artist haven. But you have to venture off of 6th Street or even South Congress to find the real gems, as we did here with Vince Hannemann’s Cathedral of Junk. When you’re in town, give Vince a call (seriously), he is very gracious and the Cathedral of Junk must be seen to be believed.
